Welcome to Villa and Apartment Holidays in Majorca
Mallorca has so much to offer for your holidays.
This resort is on the other side of Cala Llonga (marina) and although it is still part of Cala Dor it goes by the name of Cala Egos (named after its own cove). The beach here is quite small and has a couple of large hotels although no hotel actually owns the beach as none of the beaches are private. The main strip of Cala Egos has shops, bars and restaurants as well as the typical souvenir shops that you will find in all parts of the island selling its many trinkets. The local mini tourist train stops here to pick up on its way to Cala Mondrago and Cala Dor.
There is a long strip with many bars, restaurants and shops as well as the lovely Cove of Cala Ferrera and the smaller coves of Cala Esmeralda and Cala Serena. There is a childrens area at the end of the strip called Mallorcalandia that also has a bar! So mums and dads you can sit and watch your children on the trampoline or on the childrens train going around the track whilst you enjoy and cool refreshing beer!! (the majorcans have thought of everything!)
The main feature of this quaint village is the large natural harbour which is the home to a number of small fishing boats and an ever increasing number of leisure craft. If you explore further into the centre of Porto Colom it will take you into the typical "tourist section" where you will find the bars, shops and restaurants. The front has amazing restaurants that on entering you are transformed from the fishing village into a modern and trendy atmosphere.
This is an old spanish town away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists and the beaches. On a Sunday this town is transformed by its Sunday market that takes place in the main square and goes all the way up and past the church. You will find everthing from and indoor market just behind the church selling everything from meat and sausages on one side, fish on the other side and fruit and veg in the middle. The outdoor market you can buy anything from shoes, belts, souvenirs to chickens and rabbits. Whatever you decide to buy dont forget to have a go at knocking down the asking price (thats what makes it fun!)
This is a lovely long stretch of beach surrounded by many trees and also has a beach bar. This is where you will also find the nature reserve. Once you are on the beach of Cala Mondrago you can follow the path around the beach which will then take you to S'Amarador.
