News of the World vintage sewing pattern by Teddy Tinling from the 1950s. This pattern is for bust size 36 inches. The outer packet has quite a few tears and the bottom seam is open. However the instructions and pattern are complete and don't look to have ever been used. One pattern piece is ripped but still usable. Otherwise the pattern is in good condition. It includes patterns for a shorter tennis dress and a longer day dress. Teddy Tinling was a tennis player, spy, author and the foremost designer of tennis dresses of the 20th century. He designed for almost all of the best female tennis players of the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Billie Jean King was a personal friend and he designed her outfit for the famous 'Battle of the sexes' match. This is a beautiful 50s pattern that would still look very stylish today. I will be selling lots more sewing patterns so please take a look at my other items. Comes from a pet and smoke free home.
